LanoCote is Forespar's lanolin-based lubricant and anti-corrosion coating: it displaces water, forms a moisture barrier, penetrates assemblies and limits galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals (stainless on alloy mast, bronze or Marelon® fittings, etc.). Ideal for rigging, turnbuckles, shackles, valves and parts exposed to the marine environment.

Principle and Applications
Principle: LanoCote® is based on five functions: displace water, prevent corrosion, create a moisture barrier, penetrate and lubricate. Non-toxic lanolin-based grease; a thin protective film remains even when invisible. Formulated for seawater and thread locking (rigging, shackles, valves).
Applications: Turnbuckle and shackle threads (anti-seizing), Marelon® and bronze valves, electrical terminals, anchor shackles immersed in salt water. Applied at assembly, it makes disassembly easier years later.
Maintenance: Clean with acetone if needed; may stain textiles (difficult to wash out).
